In the special complex of lakes of Amvrakikos Gulf, National Park since 2008, Natura protected area as well as a unique wetland of Greece of major importance for a variety of birds and fish, you are given the possibility to experience unique moments.
Itinerary
Only 9km east of Preveza, one of the traditional walls –natural fish farms (called divaria) , which have been in operation since 1938, gives you the opportunity for an authentic experience.
By choosing a day fishing trip, either individually, in groups, or privately, you have the chance to make a tour at the divari and experience the life of the ivarads, up close. Take a dive into the culture of the area by taking part in the daily fishing, always with traditional fishing methods fishing tools (fishing rods, landing net, fishing nets, light fishing), as well as the plethora of catches hosted on the wall. Sea bream, sea bass, White Seabream , mullet, eels and blue crabs, which you can enjoy on the spot at a traditional meal.
Fishing tools and baits can be provided, as well as the possibility to buy the catch.
