Visit a Farm in Zagori – Cooking Lesson with Traditional Food

A daily tour that includes a visit to the sights of the Vikos Gorge and the traditional villages of Zagori allows you to learn the area’s secrets firsthand, knowing the locals and their way of life.

Itinerary

Our excursion starts with the villages of Aristi, Papigo and Vikos being our first destination. Our first stop will be on the river Voidomatis and then we will go to Papigo, where we will discover the natural pools of Rogovo, walk in the village and enjoy our coffee or juice in a beautiful cafe.
Then we will drive to the village of Vikos, where we will enjoy the unique view of the ravine of Vikos and from there to Elafotopos village, where our friends Lena and Kostas will be waiting to guide us to their farm.
An authentic experience of the rural life of Zagori awaits us as we will become the assistants of Lena and Kostas in their agricultural work.
After collecting our products, we will go back to the kitchen of their traditional hostel and we will all cook our lunch together. There we will learn how to make traditional pies and other traditional foods.
Until we prepare our meal, Lena will guide us to her workshop, where she makes traditional textiles and dyes them with natural dyes made from herbs and various plants.
On our return, we will cross the beautiful stone bridges, take our souvenir photos and return.
